• Thanks Retardotron. EDM = Electronic Dance Music Good question about Broward and Palm Beach... in theory the New Times should be covering those areas too, and I believe they do for the most part. Unfortunately my personal contributions to the blog are only for music happening locally in Miami, because this is where live and my scene is here. I know the Times is always looking for freelancers, so maybe more people in your area should start blogging to keep interested others informed.

• Nobody's paying me, son. I write what I want, which is about underground and indie electronic dance music, NOT about the commercial crap (because I hate it and it doesn't need any extra exposure). Unfortunately in Miami, the quality cutting-edge underground EDM is only happening at a couple different venues every week: White Room, Vagabond, Black Sheep Bar, and yes, unfortunately also at Nocturnal which otherwise epitomizes everything I loathe about Miami's commercial dance scene. If you're aware of other genuinely good shit happening, then by all means send it my way, or write it up yourself.
