WMC 2009: The Prodigy Miss Flight, Ultra Performance in Jeopardy UPDATED

Sources say that The Prodigy missed their flight to Miami and might not make it in time to perform tonight at Ultra Music Festival. With Calvin Harris and Bloc Party already AWOL this week, we are starting to see a trend.

UPDATE: A commenter noted that their Twitter says "We're in Miami for the Ultra Music Festival today." Putting in some calls to confirm that they've arrived in Miami.

UPDATED X2: The Prodigy's people confirmed that their flight was delayed, but they should be flying into Miami in time for their scheduled performance.

Dude, I'm from Essex. I love the Prodigy. But frankly, I was hugely embarassed by their performance. If you're the only act, you can be forgiven for hyping the crowd and arriving late. But at a festival? I could have been elsewhere, watching other things. And the performance itself was shoddy. Too many new tunes, not enough classics. Yeah, you've got an album to promote, but come on - their law and poison simply wasn't enough. And as for the f'ing and blinding? They didn't do it in Brixton when I saw them just a couple of months ago. I can't imagine why they saw fit to pull expletives out of the bags at Ultra.

I love Prodigy, but their presentation on Ultra was terrible at best! 25 minutes late, and they came out screaming , punching the cameras, they remained me of GNR on a very bad day. I could not stand past the first sound. There were so many better performances that I did not wnat to waist my time, and so did many in there , since the main stage got less full (everywhere was really packed).
Prodigy rocked, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Wish we could have seen Bloc Party.
This was the first time I have ever seen The Prodigy live and they were terrible. Sorry guys, but yelling into a mic screaming "F" Miami with Electronica just didn't do it for me. Then Paul Van Dyk ruined his set by having Timberland shouting something ever so often. Timberland came on strong, but made Paul Van Dyk go out with a wimper. Very sad. Thank god for BT. He was awesome. He never disappoints. The D-N-B also tent had it going on. And last but not least...CARL COX!!! What a set. Left me begging for more.
