¡MAYDAY!, ¡Suénalo!, DJ Le Spam and More Perform for Charity at Transit Lounge April 25
Steven Guarin needs a bone
marrow transplant. He has cancer and stupid Medicaid won't cover it.
The situation sucks, but his friends in the Miami music scene are doing
something about it. They've already gotten a $1,500 donation from
Music Cares, the charity foundation set up by the Recording Academy (AKA the Grammys). Now they're throwing him a benefit concert to help
raise the $10,000 he needs for the operation that will help keep him
alive. Transit Lounge is donating the venue. ¡MAYDAY!, ¡Suénalo!,
DJ Le Spam and DJ Sharpsound are donating their musical talents. Alex
Yanes is donating the proceeds from any of his art work that is sold
at the event, and all it'll cost you is a measly $10 for the chance
to enjoy the movement and help save a life.
Steven is a musician himself, he plays bass and produces for The 2 AM, a talented group making noise Miami-style. Steven has Lymphoma, a cancer related to Leukemia that is hard to fight, but not impossible to beat. Do your part to promote positive mental attitudes and revel in the unleashing of the energy of the collective unconscious on a disease that won't take one of our own if we can help it.
