New School Electro Duo Jackal & Hyde Dropping the Bass July 31 at Respectable Street

Post-Prodigy-era bassheads Jackal & Hyde will bring their hard-core blend of industrial-laden, fetish-inspired electro to West Palm's Respectable Street next month. The duo, made up of Scott Weiser and Todd Walker, has been around since 1998, but dropped their first album The Badlands in 2001. The album featured original material and remixes of Whodini's "Freaks Come Out at Night" and Kid Rock's "Pimp of the Nation," the latter of which was surprisingly good despite the Kid Rock part. The album positioned them as one of the most popular groups, if not the most popular group, in the big bass, electro South Florida underground scene. Since then, they've released a ton of singles, remixes, and an album, and have collaborated with every notable DJ/producer under the sun. Check them out July 31, tickets cost $10.
