Marco Antonio Solis and Pepe Aguilar Live at the AAA, Saturday

Marco Antonio Solis and Pepe Aguilar are without question two of the most widely respected and prolific artists of the genre, and deserving of all the respect they get. Singer, songwriter and producer Solis has eight studio albums under his belt, all pressed in the past 13 years, since his departure from the legendary band Los Bukis, whom he fronted for 20 years. Throughout the course of his storied 30-plus-year career the man has stockpiled gold and platinum records, Grammys and Billboard awards, meanwhile producing for such big name talent as Olga Tañon, Enrique Iglesias and Ana Barbara.
And if those sound like lofty heights, Aguilar is equally decorated and fitting company for the phenom. The Texas-born Mexican American has a career spanning 35 years, during which time he's not only mastered the classic charro style, but also successfully paired traditional ranchera sounds with Latin pop stylings, dropping over 20 releases to his credit throughout the course. A five-time Grammy winner and recipient of 12 Premios Lo Nuestro, Aguilar is no stranger to accolades either.
Marco Antonio Solis and Pepe Aguilar perform at the American Airlines Arena on Friday, September 4 at 8pm. Tickets range from $77 to $127.
