Persistence pays for bands such as AFI. Originally formed in 1991 as a DIY punk rock band, it took 12 years before it released an album that non-hardcore fans paid attention to. Sing the Sorrow (2003) sold more than a million albums, and Decemberunderground is well on its way to platinum status. AFI is touring in support of its upcoming Crash Love, slated to be released September 29. The tour will hit the Pompano Beach Amphitheater Wednesday, November 18. Tickets cost $26.50 and go on sale Saturday, September 12, through Live Nation.

Jason Bonham, the sometimes-drummer of Led Zepplin and all-the-time son of drumming legend John Bonham, is bringing his metal band, Bonham, to Revolution Live October 14. Tickets go on sale September 12 through Live Nation.

Alt-rock group Third Eye Blind is still around and is slated to play Revolution Live October 2 in support of the band's fourth studio album in 16 years. Tickets go on sale September 11 through Live Nation.

Finally, Badfish has announced a November 11 show at Revolution Live. The tour is being billed as an official tribute to Sublime, which can't be much different from any of Badfish's other shows, seeing as it's a Sublime tribute band.
