Panic At the Disco is a very different band from Panic! At the Disco. Back when they had the extra punctuation, they also sported a more dark(ish), electronic, and  keyboard laden sound. Once they dropped the !, they also decided to start sounding much more like the Jonas Brothers of Christmas future. Think less semi-experimental layers of sound over their guitars, a cleaned up image, and a thousand times more pop-hooks and you've got Panic at The Disco.

The move toward a cleaner, more mainstream sound might have left some fans in the dust, but it hasn't hurt their record sales or popularity one bit. Check out the videos below for a quick history lesson and to learn how much an exclamation point can change your sound.

Panic at the Disco will be performing at the Buzz Bake Sale in Cruzan Ampitheater on Saturday, December 5, along with Chevelle, Matisyahu, Cage the Elephant, The Used, Manchester Orchestra, and more. Tickets are $40 for reserved seats, $20 for lawn.
