I heard Alex Nelson at the guitar show. He was so good that I let my husband go shop by himself while I finished watching his show. I think he should win best album.
Alex Nelson was playing at the entrance of the guitar festival as we came in. I was blown away by his songs. He is an awesome songwriter and guitar player. I vote for Everything That You Wanted To Say But Didn't as best album.

I'm currently listening to Alex's CD and found this doing a little research. This is a spectacular album! I too saw him at the Buddha! :) it was awesome! Everything you wanted to say bit didn't is my vote!
I saw Alex a few weeks ago at the Funky Buddha! Hilarious and engaging. I must admit, we weren't there to see the show, but got hooked when he got on stage. He really got us, it was a great night and we ended up buying his album. LOVE IT! Everything you wanted to say but didn't!!!!

I showcase local bands in my feature 93rock.com's South Flocal Sound Check so I sift through, interview and truly listen to a lot of South Florida's best musicians. I will cast my vote for Ghost of Gloria's Voices From the Red Room. Here was my review of it: On a day in age where the rock industry seems to be hooked up to life support comes a set of seven tracks by Ft. Lauderdale up & comers Ghost of Gloria that are nothing short of pulsating, rivoting and just down right pure rock--the way it SHOULD be. From frontman Johnny's ripping vocals, bassist Mark's commanding bass lines to the professionally trained-combined-with-raw brutal talent Marl P.'s thunderous drum beats and adding lead guitarist Jeff's scorching guitar riffs (hey, he learned how to play guitar one day by picking one up and strumming Randy Rhodes section of "Crazy Train"!!) who makes his guitar sing as much as Johnny throughout the EP--GOG is on their way up and fast. Energetic tracks like "Better Off Alone", "Side of Me" and "Run Away" will have your adrenaline pumping while the mellow but fierce "Fight" will hit on your heart strings. "The Evidence" (produced by Don Gilmore--Linkin Park, Lit) is just the icing on the cake of an EP that will grip your attention on every level--and never let go. GOG's lyrics are just as refreshing and real as the music lending just another avenue this group will quench your thirst for good, pure rock. I would say the best collection of tracks on one disc by a band since 2006's "Phobia" by Breaking Benjamin. Once you put this disc in your cd player, you will not take it out.

Being in the music industry it is rare to find unique sounds so I was pleased and surprised to find Alex Nelson. His album "Everything you wanted to say but didn't ..." is a refreshing blend of great songwriting and even better musical talent! My vote is for him!

I've lived in South Florida since 1991, and Alex Nelson's album "Eveything you wanted to say but didn't" is by far the best I've heard in a long time... but the truth is, he's even better live. He has my vote.

Ghost of Gloria's 'Voices From the Red Room' - these guys are not only GREAT MUSICIANS but great guys also. John's voice is sweet and raw at the same time. Mark is an amazing drummer. Jeff has the coolest hair - and great guitarist. Mark thumps a great bass beat. I will listen to them anytime, anywhere.

My vote goes to Alex Nelson. He did a free concert here at Sailboat Bend Artists Loft and previewed much of "Everything you wanted to say but didn't." He's a fabulous singer-songwriter in the David Wilcox and James Taylor vein. Once he had everyone's attention, no one wanted to let go.
