If you didn't hear about Sunday's Grand Central screening of ODDSAC, Animal Collective's "visual album," until recently
, it's okay -- Miami was a relatively last-minute addition to the film's route. Let's consider ourselves pretty lucky: The film debuted this past January at Sundance, and has screened in just a handful of cities so far. Plus, this isn't a regular movie-theater-style showing where you show up, watch impassively, and leave. Rather, it's an interactive kind of thing, with director Danny Perez and as-yet-unspecificed Animal Collective members live and in the flesh for a Q&A afterwards.
Tickets are $15, but event sponsors Sweat Records
are kindly giving away a pair of tickets to Crossfade readers. To enter, leave a comment on this entry with a valid e-mail address. We'll leave the contest open until 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, and then randomly draw a winner. We'll notify you by e-mail later that afternoon.
Otherwise, you can buy advance tickets at oddsac.com or try your luck at the door (show up early). The ODDSAC screening takes place 8 p.m. Sunday, April 25 at Grand Central, 697 N. Miami Ave., Miami. All ages are welcome. 305-456-8164; grandcentralmiami.com
