Which is to say, homeboy's old. He's neither old school, nor out of school. He predates school. He first became known for creating the band Almendra, along with Emilio del Guercio, Edelmiro Molinari, and Rodolfo Garcia in 1968. His solo career, though, commenced soon after in 1971, with Spinettalandia y sus Amigos, and it's safe to say Luis Alberto has been a key player in the Latin rock game since even before its infancy. He's never ceased to be relevant, either, influencing musicians from the aforementioned to many of today's.
