Joris Voorn is playing SET on Sunday
Clearly the action at last week's Detroit Electronic Music Festival carried over to Miami this weekend, because it's just nonstop stellar bookings Friday through Sunday at various hotspots throughout the city.

Friday, June 4

To start things off tonight, there are two different parties in Wynwood. Esteemed techno DJ/producer Joel Mull will stop by the Electric Pickle for an exclusive performance courtesy of LINK, in celebration of their one-year anniversary at the forefront of Miami's underground techno scene. Joel Mull has staked his reputation as one of Sweden's top techno artists since the mid-'90s, with releases on labels like Drumcode, Cocoon, Audiomatique, and Saved. LINK residents Maurizio & Danyelino will be joining him on the decks for surely another energetic Friday night techno session at the Pickle's upstairs dancefloor.

Berlin-based DJ/producer and Rekids label owner Radio Slave, a.k.a. Matt Edwards, will also perform tonight at Grass Lounge in the Design District. The party's hosted by SAFE, who previously booked him at the same venue during Art Basel 2009. Edwards is one of international EDM's most prolific producers, and a late-night peak-hour set specialist with a penchant for deep and hypnotic minimal grooves. They're best appreciated through the pristine custom Dynacord sound system that SAFE always rocks at their parties. Residents Lazaro Casanova, Conway, and Gil Montiel will play opening sets.

Saturday, June 5

Saturday night marks the return of Vagabond regular Lee Burridge to the downtown venue. The globe-trotting British DJ/producer has made his name known from Hong Kong's local EDM scene, which he helped found in the '90s, to the Burning Man Festival in Nevada, which also inspired his free-spirited "GET WEIRD" parties. Boasting a genre-bending blend of stripped-down progressive house, techno, and breaks, Burridge's sets are energetic and colorful one-of-a-kind experiences. Vagabond residents Sean Drake, Ray Milian, Ryan Evans, Carmel Ophir and A-Train will keep the grooves going all night as usual.

Sunday, June 6

On Sunday the action will start early on in the day, since the LINK crew will continue its anniversary celebration with special guest Ida Engberg at Grass Lounge. The Swedish DJ/producer is one of the fastest-rising female stars in the international EDM scene. A resident at Stockholm's legendary Cocktail Club, she has gained increasing international notoriety since the mid-'00s.

She's played alongside Roger Sanchez, Eric Prydz, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Lawler, and John Dahlbäck, who signed her to his Pickadoll label in 2007. With her eclectic tapestry of sounds, ranging from melodic techno and funky minimal to deep house and electro, Engberg is sure to put on a swinging afternoon set on Saturday.

Last and certainly not least is a highly anticipated performance by Joris Voorn at Set in South Beach. The widely popular and critically acclaimed Dutch DJ/producer has risen through the international ranks and charts since his first releases in the late '90s on labels like Cocoon and Green.

With an energetic live performance style to match his singular brand of deep, proggy techno infused with electro and breaks, Voorn's sets are not to be missed. Catch him on Sunday night along with Sundance residents Biz Martinez, Kristine Hall and Stephan Luke.
