Tickets For Club Space Closing Parties This Weekend Are Disappearing Quickly
| Cedric Gervais returns to his old Space stomping grounds on day two of the club's closing parties. |
Still, Space is set to go out -- even if it's only temporarily -- with a bang. Labor Day weekend marks a two-day series of closing parties, Ibiza-style, with similarly marquee names in talent. And both parties will go late, with the traditional holy afterhours observed both Saturday night/Sunday morning, and the following night/morning. Hey, Monday's for sleeping off the party before you return to work.
On Saturday's closing party is Space favorite Boris, who'll pump out his trademark marathon set on the terrace. The techno loft belongs to Israeli knob-twiddler and Cocoon star Guy Gerber. Meanwhile, DJ Camilo does hip-hop in the ballroom.
Then on Sunday, Closing Party Day 2, Miami's best French transplant, Cedric Gervais, shares the terrace with Swedish House mafioso Steve Angello. The main room, meanwhile, takes a different, hipster-ish flavor, with L.A. Riots headlining, and local duo TKO -- that's Damaged Goods and Troy Kurtz -- on support.
Act fast for tickets, though. Saturday night's all-access tickets, which guarantee entry any time before 4 a.m., are already sold out. Now, you'll have to arrive "early" for Space -- before either 2 a.m. or midnight -- or chance it in the wee hours.
