Few DJs in the international EDM underground have enjoyed as much hype in the last couple years as Seth Troxler. As part of a growing contingent of Detroit-raised expatriate artists living and working in Berlin -- including Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves -- Troxler has straddled the two techno capitals of the world while garnering enough international acclaim to get ranked among the Top 10 DJs in the world by Resident Advisor in 2010.

Troxler and esteemed producer pal Lee Curtiss used to throw the legendary Tesh Club parties in Detroit in the mid-'00s, and as Visionquest (along with Ryan Crosson) they currently host the beloved Need I Say More afterhours during Detroit's Electronic Music Festival each year. Releases on touchstone labels like Spectral Sound, Crosstown Rebels and Wolf + Lamb reveal Troxler's irreverent experimental flair in the studio, while never straying far from a brooding sensuality and essential body-jacking groove that can command any dancefloor.

Troxler is certainly no stranger to Miami, having graced the decks at memorable past WMC parties like Sunday School for Degenerates and Get Lost at the Electric Pickle, where he'll be returning on Friday night to throw down an exclusive performance with PL0T. Summer 2010 has seen Troxler jump onboard a residence at the infamous Circo Loco at club DC10 in Ibiza, so surely we can expect a taste of the hottest jams currently rocking the island during Friday's set.

Seth Troxler. With Alejandro Sab and Michael Christopher. 11 p.m. Friday, June 11. Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami. Ages 21 and up. 305-456-5613; electricpicklemiami.com
