Thalia has engineered a rather successful comeback post hiatus from the limelight to instead bask in the glow of motherhood and enjoy family life with husband and music mogul Tommy Mottola, followed by her commercially disappointing 2008 release Lunada (her last on EMI).

We couldn't be happier, and that hardly has anything to do with the fact that, even as she closes in on 39, she's still one of the most beautiful women in all of Latin entertainment.

Okay...maybe it plays a slight role. But how can a woman who's so effortlessly gorgeous, she recorded her most recent live CD/DVD Primer Fila in jeans and a t-shirt, a pair of sneaks and barely any makeup, not garner any admiration for it? The dressing down, she explained matter-of-factly, by saying that she wanted to be simpler and more natural.

That may have seemed like a far cry from the done up glam the pop diva's been known for. But looking at the bigger picture, at the stripped down and intimate setting of the live and largely acoustic recording that took place right here, in UM's BankUnited Center in July of last year, it makes perfect sense.

The Mexican singer/actress' label, Sony Music Latin, has just slated the album's deluxe re-release for Tuesday, September 28. The original album's tracklist, which featured 13 songs from outstanding composers ranging from Juan Luis Guerra to Mario Domm, Ricardo Arjona to Espinoza Paz and Reyli to Donato Poveda, and even a duet with regional Mexican royalty Joan Sebastian, will get three brand new tracks, and the DVD a previously unreleased documentary. Not only that, the Mexican release will feature the full live concert taped in the 305, and a Blue-ray edition will be coming out in Latin America. Here's video of her hit single from the performance, "Equivocada."
