Kings of Leon Release Video for New Single "Radioactive" Before They Arrive in South Florida Next Friday

​We'd be lying if we said we weren't a little excited for next Friday's Kings of Leon show at the Cruzan Amphhitheatre. They've made sure to keep us excited -- though tickets went on sale about a year ago -- by announcing news of a new album recently. Now to add more fuel to the fire, they've just released the music video for Come Around Sundown's first single, "Radioactive."

We definitely expected them to show us their roots in this one, as the lyrics touch upon stuff like "It's in the water/ it's in the story of where you came from/ your sons and daughters in all their glory its gonna save her," but the video was far from the stereotypical Followills we've come to know and love.

The video sets the scene in what we're guessing is a hot day after school, with a bunch of little kids playing soccer and running around. All of a sudden the band is running around with them, posing for pictures, playing with magicians, pouring water on the kids, and singing in a barn before a Barbecue. They stand out like sore thumbs, tall, pale, and lanky, against a traditional southern backdrop filled with little black kids. Umm... did we miss something?

We can't decide whether we like the innocence this video is trying to portray, or are confused by Caleb trying to act like the leader of a bunch of kids. Also, why does he perform with the band hidden away in a barn away from the children, yet plays with them throughout the rest of it? Does he think they won't like his music?

He finally lets them in on the jam session, and the kids turn into a sort of impromptu gospel choir, clapping and chanting and jumping, uniformed and lined up together.
