Thievery Corporation Lands at Eden Roc for Secret Set Tonight

​Spawned on the streets of our nation's great federal district, Washington, D.C., amid palm-greasing, spook stories, shadow games, political corruption, and urban blight, DJ duo Thievery Corporation has always cultivated a certain distate for the sleazy dealings of America's most priveledged classes.

In 14 years of active opposition, Rob Garza and Eric Hilton have attacked the status quo, calling bullshit on President George W. Bush ("Amerimacka"), the Iraq War, and the International Money Fund.

So you gotta wonder what the pair will have to say about Miami's shameful and gory excesses when Thievery Corporation lands at the Eden Roc in three hours for a last-minute secret show? Maybe nothing. Maybe the band's just on vacation like the rest of us.

Currently about a third of the way through a 14-date US tour with Massive Attack, Garza and Hilton were already scheduled to play tomorrow night at Bayfront Park Amphitheater. But that concert costs $46, plus $16.50 in fees. And tonight's bill for seeing the Corporation will total exactly zero.

So say no to ticketing monopolies. And yes to free shit.
