We can never get too much Bachaco. Which is lucky, we suppose, because the guys have a pretty staggering schedule this weekend with the Miami Music Festival, playing five different showcases in just two days.

"We couldn't be happier to share our music with so many new and old fans and right here in our backyard," says frontman Eddy Morillo. "Last year we did not have the opportunity to become part of the event, but this year there's a lot of enthusiasm around the event and support from the entire community."

The band will have its work cut out, racing back and forth across town to make gigs, including Cuba Ocho at 10 p.m. on Friday, followed by Bougainvillea's at midnight. Then Saturday, the crew will play Bayfront Park at 1 p.m., and have Bardot at 10 p.m., and the Delanuca showcase at the Stage at 12:20 a.m. Plus, in non-MMF news, Bachaco will be recording the video for its new single, "Cumbia pa' la nena," on Sunday at Bougie's.

"'Cumbia pa' la nena' is definitely a party song," says Morillo. "We wanted to render tribute to the impact that cumbia has had around the world, especially in South America, and its role in the almost typical feria de pueblo, which you can feel as soon as you hear the song."

"In 'Cumbia pa' la nena," he continues, "you can hear a strong influence of other genres like dancehall, raggamuffin, and what we like to call 'Jamaican Cumbia,' which is also the name of our upcoming single!"

The single's already available on iTunes. And be sure to catch Bachaco around town during its weekend of tireless gigging.
