It's confirmed: Rachel Goodrich's follow-up to her 2008 debut, Tinker Toys, will be released February 21. The Greg Wells-produced album, features 10 new tracks along with "Light Bulb." (It's unclear whether it's a reworked or remastered version different from the one that appeared on her debut.)

Unfortunately, it seems Rachel Goodrich won't be Goodrich's major label -- or even major indie label -- debut. The album will be released on her own imprint, Yellow Bear Records. But we bet there is a major standing readily on the sidelines, waiting to see how the album performs.

If you can't wait until next year to listen to her new material, Goodrich's MySpace has full-length streams of "Morning Light," "Easier Said Than Done," and, our favorite, "Na Na Na," which is borderline folky hip-hop. From what we've heard so far, it seems Wells' clean and simple production skills suit her very well.
