Tone Loc!
Oh you fancy huh? For people gawkers and celeb stalkers, Tuesday nights at the Delano's Blue Door restaurant has been the spot for the past four years. Longtime South Beach promoters Tommy Pooch and Alan Roth have been serving up a blend of Miami's sultriest people and their Hollywood friends bobbing to the smooth soul and hip-hop sounds of Mr. Sandman and DJ Irie. For their Fourth anniversary party tomorrow night, the duo have unearthed West Coast rapper Tone Loc for a special performance.

Now the last time we saw Tone Loc, he was performing "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina" at Hot Wheels skate rink back in the early 90s. How he fits into the South Beach glossy uber-chic party crowd had us scratching our heads. But Pooch and Roth have had success trotting out old school rappers before. A few months back, they brought in the Sugar Hill Gang for actress Gabrielle Union's birthday party. Dwayne Wade's girlfriend was having so much fun she sang along with the group when they busted out with "Rapper's Delight."

Despite its strict guest-list-only door policy, there is a L'Esprit de la Vie vibe to the Delano Tuesday party. "What I like about Tuesdays is that you can leave the night feeling just as sexy as when you first got there, if not sexier," says DJ Irie. "We set just the right mood to make people feel good."

Party starts at 9 p.m., with complimentary Funky Cold Medina cocktails made with Corzo tequila till 10 p.m. Table reservations strongly suggested. And if you're a dude, make sure you bring a gaggle of fine ladies.
