"I was given the opportunity to transform 200 feet of outdoor wall space surrounding the patio and stage at Transit Lounge," explains talented local artist Alex Yanes. "I invited local artists to add their signature artistic style to the mural project."
Among those scheduled to lend their talents are Ahol Sniffs Glue, Krave, Gems CP1, Remote/53, Junk Roxxx, Pest, NF Romero, Dekal, Ultra, Sen, Legend, and many more.
"It is important to showcase some of Miami's local talent, which is often pushed aside in order to make room for all of the out-of-town artists taking over our city for Basel week," says Yanes. "It's important for all of us to have an outlet for exposure and creativity during Art Basel."
"Transit Lounge," he goes on to say, "has always been a creative outlet for musicians and artists alike, but we're going a little bit bigger for Art Basel."
And a party wouldn't be a party at Transit without some luscious live tunes: ArtOfficial and Spam Allstars will be providing the soundtrack to this streety affair.
"The Spam Allstars are true Miami legends synonymous with the marriage between music and art," says Yanes. "It doesn't get any better than painting outdoors on a beautiful Miami night while the Spam Allstars perform live!"
ArtOfficial and Spam Allstars as part of Overspray. Saturday, December 4. Transit Lounge, 729 SW 1 Ave., Miami. The party starts at 9 p.m. and there's no cover. Visit transitlounge.us.
