Bad Boy Bill Brings His Chi-Town House Boom to Space This Friday
Schooled in the Chi-town house boom of the mid '80s, Bill first made a name for himself by distributing promo mixtapes out of the trunk of his car. (Many even credit him as the founding father of the mixtape.) A few years later, the DJ was recruited for on-air work by radio personality and house legend Farley Jackmaster Funk at WGCI Chicago, where Bill would hone the rapidfire chops that make him famous today.
In the '90s and 2000s, Bill continued to delight international audiences by touring heavily and releasing a series of compilation records, including one of the bestselling in dance music history, his five-volume Bangin' The Box set.
He has also continued to garner critical acclaim over the years, regularly ranking among DJ Magazine's Top 100. In the new decade, this house music veteran has embraced the new hybrid EDM sounds of the new generation, mixing equal parts house, rock, and hip-hop -- and always with his signature banging, peak-hour energy.
