Caramelos de Cianuro Coming to Grand Central July 15

​Over the course of nearly 20 years, the four members of Caramelos de Cianuro have managed to secure themselves as the chief proponents of rock in their native Venezuela. Moreover, they've established themselves as representatives of Latin rock on the whole -- or Rock en Español, as it's widely known in the States.

And through it all, Los Caramelos have managed to stay relevant without compromising the provocative and irreverent blend of rock and punk that made them a fan favorite with the release of their first two singles in 1992.

The hits in question, first "Nadando a Través De la Galaxia" ("Swimming Across the Galaxy") and then "Tu Mamá Te Va a Pegar" ("Your Mom is Going to Hit You") appeared on the band's debut four-track EP Las Paticas de Tu Abuela (Your Grandmother's Little Feet).



And the band's success has only mounted from there, to the tune of nine albums to date (including last year's self-titled), lots of love on MTV Latin America, international recognition, and a cult following from Latinos the world over.
