DJ Mix by BBC Radio 1's Heidi, Playing Treehouse This Sunday

​When it comes to electronic dance music, there's probably no greater benchmark for superior taste than BBC Radio 1. From the eminent Pete Tong's long-standing Essential Mix to shows by esteemed tastemakers like Gilles Peterson and Annie Mac, Radio 1 has been the first to break EDM's cutting-edge sounds for decades.

So you know that when a then-unknown Canadian DJ Heidi Van Den Amstel landed herself a monthly slot on Radio 1's In New DJs We Trust show back in 2008, it was by sheer virtue of her musical taste and charisma as a selector.

And with her penchant for stripped-down techno and jackin' house, Heidi has since advanced to the forefront of the contemporary electronic music zeitgeist, becoming one of the most in-demand DJs at international hotpsots like Fabric, Panoramabar, and Space Ibiza as well as festivals like Detroit's Movement and Ultra in Miami.

Heidi will be helping the LINK crew kick off its new Summer Sessions weekly party at Treehouse this Sunday along with NYC's Bill Patrick and a slew of local favorites.
