On April 9, local rap crew ¡Mayday! announced: "It's official - ¡MAYDAY! has signed to Tech N9ne's indie powerhouse - Strange Music!!!"

Almost exactly a month later, the six-man team hit the road with its new boss, Tech N9ne, and a few other members of Strange Music fam for the All 6's and 7's North American tour, an 82-city trek set to last only 85 days.

And then this morning at 1:27 a.m. in Reno, Nevada, approximately two hours after the end of the tour's 43rd show, there was a shooting in the parking lot outside the Knitting Factory nightclub. One man was shot several times and police arrested four people, including the suspected shooter.

The identity of the victim remains unknown. But thankfully, ¡Mayday! is safe.

The crew posted a short status update to its official Facebook page at 8:13 p.m., assuring fans that "All of the members of Mayday are ok."

Earlier in the day, the Strange Music camp also released a full statement via HipHopDX:

"Earlier this morning in the city of Reno, Nevada an unfortunate incident took place involving a performer with an opening act on Tech N9ne's current U.S. Tour. Nearly two hours after the show had ended, it appears that this performer was the victim of a random and senseless act of violence on a nearby city street adjacent to the club where he had performed hours earlier. By all reports, the victim was talking on his phone when he was approached by six individuals who had not been in attendance at that evening's show. Shortly after, shots were fired and the victim was struck multiple times. He was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition but is expected to recover. Not long after the incident took place, four suspects who had fled the scene on foot were detained and taken into custody by local law enforcement, including what appears to be the main suspect and shooter in the incident. No other info has been made available at the time of releasing this statement."

The All 6's and 7's tour resumes tomorrow night at the Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.
