Get Dark and Twisted With Adultnapper at Treehouse This Sunday

​As far as we can tell, there are two kinds of electronic dance music lover: (1) The kind that likes its dancefloor fare soulful and sexy; and (2) The kind that likes the dark and twisted stuff. Brooklyn-based DJ-producer Francis Harris (AKA Adultnapper) definitely caters to the latter camp.

And it's no surprise, considering the former punk rocker has admitted to having once hated dance music. So if he eventually got into the EDM game, it's only because the broad sonic palette allows him to get as dark and weird as he wants while fucking with people's heads.

Harris's dark vision extends beyond the music, with his conceptual Random Note imprint offering a dystopic anti-hero graphic novel narrative that unfolds with each release, complete with text and haunting imagery by artist John Stroud.

But of course it's his sound first and foremost that makes Adultnapper a force to be reckoned with in the international scene -- his sets dark, hypnotic and mind-bending innerspace odysseys to be undertaken by only the boldest techno cosmonauts.
