Bar's Iconic Pool Table Lives On at Grand Central

It lives on.

​Still feeling bummed about Bar closing? Get over it already!

But if you are feeling truly inconsolable, Grand Central has some good news: It's acquired Bar's iconic pool table. Of course, the table been around since 28 NE 14th Street was PS14. But Bar made it a star when it routinely re-covered the top to match the rotating decor.

The pool table lives on in Grand Central's outdoor space (which sources have told us will be rechristened as the Garden and receive a complete makeover) and it's pretty much intact.

All the stickers and graffiti have not been cleaned off. The only difference: The top is now neon orange.

​Last weekend, the table was already available for use. So if you are looking to pay your respects or just play a game of pool, you can stop by Grand Central which is celebrating its one-year anniversary this week with back-to-back parties on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday features Craze, Nick Catchdubs, and Codes (free with RSVP at rsvp@grandcentralmiami.com) while Sunday has Bag Raiders performing live.
