Matisyahu Announces Free Acoustic Show at Uncle Sam's Music on Miami Beach

As the biggest name in the history of Jewish riddim', the MC is known far and wide for his curious pairing of lyrics that ponder Hebrew scripture with party-ready, beat-oriented genres like hip-hop and reggae. He's also got a solid reputation when it comes to intimate in-store performances.
Crossfade spoke with Uncle Sam's owner Lisa Zhen, who is excited to get back into hosting live events. "We're always trying to get in-stores," she says, noting that the now-closed Lauderhill Uncle Sam's used to host pre-show in-stores for bands performing at Revolution and Culture Room.
Zhen emphasized that people should get there way before the advertised start time -- 3 p.m. -- as the event is sure to reach capacity. Otherwise, she couldn't provide any details about the performance, except that it'll feature Matisyahu and a lone acoustic guitar.
But we imagine the MC will also be spitting his signature vocal beatbox.
Acoustic in-store performance with Matisyahu. Thursday, August 25. Uncle Sam's Music, 1141 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. The show starts at 3 p.m. and admission is free. All ages. Call 305-532-0973 or visit unclesamsmusic.com.
