The Knocks Will Make You Feel Real Good at Grand Central September 3 CANCELED

​UPDATE: Crossfade has received word from Grand Central that The Knocks show has been canceled.

Brooklyn-based electro-pop duo and production team The Knocks took its name from those early days when the constant broom-thump of neighbors in adjacent apartments communicated a rhythmic command to "shut the fuck up."

Now, though, people are begging DJ B-Roc, JPatt, and their flirty, summertime electro-pop to "keep going" and "don't stop." And in true digital-age form, the duo hasn't even released a suite of music, relying on the power of individual singles, remixes, and production for other artists to sustain the buzz.

This Fall, the banging and buzzing comes to -- you guessed it -- New Times' Best Live Music Venue winner Grand Central.
Let's be honest: "Brooklyn-based electro-duo and production team" reads like the bio of characters in some kind of hipsteriffic live-action, role-playing game. But if there's one thing that professional party people have managed to master, it's feeling good.



These guys have produced cotton-candy sweet original material, not to mention remixes for pop-tarts like Katy Perry and Marina & The Diamonds. So there's no doubt they're masterful good-time technicians.

Accordingly, tracks like "Make It Better" are built on an apparatus of aural pleasure comprised of a breezy acoustic guitar loop, four-on-the-floor beats, and eyes-closed, drink-in-hand falsetto.

In short, the Knocks will always make you feel real good.
