Chris Cornell Performs Acoustic Grunge at the Fillmore Miami Beach November 6
|Chris Cornell will be unplugged at the Fillmore.|
Cornell is most noted for his work with early Sub Pop signees Soundgarden. But he was also a member of 2000s supergroup Audioslave, alongside Rage Against The Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk.
We all know how Nirvana sounds unplugged. But what about the collected works of Chris Cornell?
Back in March, Cornell told Rolling Stone that he would be "playing a wide cross-section of material from throughout his career."
He also admitted nervousness at undertaking the first solo acoustic tour of his career while expressing a Neil Young-like appreciation for the process, telling Rolling Stone: "Some songs I just think won't sound good in an acoustic format. So I'll just keep playing it and then one day, on the 50th time, suddenly it'll work. It gets very interesting finding songs that don't make any sense in the context of an acoustic performance, but they can be brilliant that way. I'm approaching cover songs in the same way."
The suggestion that Chris will be performing covers gets our hopes up for touching renditions of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Or maybe, "Mrs. Robinson" ... But we'll just have to wait and see.
