The season has begun! It's not quite cool outside. But people are getting all amped on art right now. This year, though, music shall not fall to the wayside in the huge ugly face of art!

Sometimes art walks in Miami yield more white noise and tackiness than critical thinking. (Note: Learning is fun, guys.) But there are still sanctuaries of sound hiding in this city's strange little corners. Art is great and all. However, music is magical.

Thus, we present our five Second Saturday Art Walk picks for music lovers.

5. Hard Poems in Space. Thursday, September 10, 7 to 10 p.m., NDS shop, 155 NE 38th Street, Miami; 786-556-3033; nektardestagni.com. Nektar de Stagni is also known as DJ Faux Real, spinning classy dance tunes at some of the more exclusive art parties in Miami. This Thursday, her collaborative project Hard Poems in Space with Gallery Diet's Nina Johnson and some very talented designers, artists, and architects opens. These works were created at workshops hosted by industry insiders. Expect some community-building events in the space while the show is up through the fall.

4. Richard Vergez/Möthersky. Saturday, September 10, 8 to 11 p.m., The End/Spring Break, 818 SW Fourth Ave., Miami; end-springbreak.com. The End/Spring Break -- now in the end mode -- will be hosting RadioActive Records' Richard Vergez for Strategies Against Architecture. It's basically leftover wax residue from their summer Ear Conditioning series. Vergez will also perform as Möthersky.

3. Cheryl Pope's Matter of Fact. Saturday, September 11 (and ongoing), 7 to 10 p.m., Dorsch Gallery, 151 NW 24th St., Miami; 305-576-1278; dorschgallery.com. For a different kind of marriage of sound and visual art, swing by the Dorsch Gallery and check out Cheryl Pope's work "Tick." Appropriately named, the pendulum of plates makes a noise you won't soon forget.

2. Ball of Love. Saturday, September 10, 7 p.m., O Cinema, 90 NW 29th St., Miami; 305-571-9970; o-cinema.org. Wasabi Fashion Kult is screening Ball of Love , a short film that was made with an iPhone -- oh, the modern world -- by Tammy Aida Diaz of Tambonation blog and People From Venus frontman Paul Isaac. There's an interactive installation with something called phonetography where you can take pics of yourself to the music of Cosmo and People From Venus. Immortalize your self.

1. Psychic Mirrors' Twelve-Inch Release Party. Saturday, September 10, 11 p.m., Bardot, 3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-576-7750; bardotmiami.com. After art walk, swing by Bardot for Psychic Mirrors' twelve-inch release party. The Miami funk band, about a billion gifted members strong, will be movin' to the groovin' and DJ Stravinski will also be spinnin'.
