Free Mixtape: Odd Future's Domo Genesis Drops Under the Influence
Now, Odd Future's squinty-eyed stoner is back with a new mixtape, Under the Influence.
Yesterday afternoon at 4:20 p.m., Domo released his sophomore effort via his Tumblr. The 35-minute, 14-track mix features guest spots by Remy Banks and Odd Future's de-facto leader, Tyler the Creator.
On "More Clouds," Domo's notoriously lazy -- albeit incredibly charming -- flow sounds like dude jumped into the recording booth immediately after sparking a blunt. "No Woodstock, nor was it acid tripping/Straight head high, that white widow be hitting."
Lyrically, Under the Influence is a step up from Rolling Papers. In addition to rapping about weed, Domo thinks outside the hotbox and flows about Odd Future's rise to superstardom.
"Since I been winning, it's been daps and pounds, yo/And everybody want to come creeping around so/I play it like a veteran, staying in my element/Haters all relevant, I'm better than I've ever been."
Hell yeah dude's better than he's ever been. Odd Future's on top of their shit. And homeboy even landed an Adidas spot with Mike G. Plus, Under the Influence is gonna generate enough blog buzz to sell mad copies of Domo Genesis's official first album ... Whenever it drops.
