Janet Jackson Announces December 5 Show at the Fillmore Miami Beach

Gary, Indiana's favorite wardrobe malfunction is bringing her pasties to South Beach.

Early this morning, Crossfade received a very excited press release from New Times Best Flack 2011 winner Woody Graber. The subject line simply read, "JANET JACKSON @ THE FILLMORE," followed by the most exclamation points we've ever seen in an email.

That's right, on Monday, December 5, Janet fucking Jackson brings her Up Close and Personal Tour to the Fillmore Miami Beach, and we're guessing it's going to be a sell-out show. It better be, y'all voted for it.

"I thank my fans who have voted and helped me chose the cities we're announcing today," Jackson says in the press release. "These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done... This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years.  I'll be singing and dancing from my heart.  The music will all be songs that you've made number ones for me.  Let's go!"

Jackson's also celebrating community service, announcing that in each city, "20 young leaders who are changing their communities for the better," will get to meet Michael's little sister. "At each concert the 20 people chosen and the person who nominated them will be VIP guests at my show."

In 2009, Jackson released Number Ones, a two-disc best-of album loaded with 33 chart-topping singles, spanning from 1986 through 2008. Unfortunately, the compilation didn't follow suit and top the charts; it debuted at number 22 on the Billboard 200.

If you needed any clarification as to why Jackson's playing the Fillmore and not the American Airlines Arena or Sun Life Stadium, there you have it.

But hey, that's the way love goes. It can't be the late '80s, early '90s forever, right? Luckily, it's 2011, and Jackson's true fans will get Up Close and Personal at the house Jackie Gleason built.

See you in December, Ms. Jackson.

Wow not only is the writter of this piece of shit write up an Asshole their also ignorant and fucking dumb as well. First off she released a Greatest hits album and it went to number 22 (name any other greatest hits album that debuted at number one...I'll wait..and Michael's doesn't count because his number ones cd's only went to number one AFTER he died) second the tour is called UP CLOSE and PERSONAL not strain your eyeballs in the nosebleed section, horrible arena sound tour. She can clearly fill arenas judging by her sellig out multiple shows in cities all over the globe. Third really? Your wardrobe malfunction joke was a big fat fail...old and really not funny. What's funny is that this women will be remembered as a music legend and you will be remembered by ummmm NO ONE.

Sandy, to answer your question, The Beatles' "1" album debuted atop the Billboard 200 when it was released in November 2000. See you at the show.
