It's happened again.

On June 3, Brit songbird Adele was forced to cancel nine US tour dates due to a nasty bout of laryngitis. "I'm really frustrated. I was hoping with a weeks rest I'd be better to sing again straight away," she said at the time. "However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctors advice and rest some more. I'm so sorry. See you soon, love Adele."

And indeed, Adele rescheduled the missed shows and added another 11 to her planned American trek, including a Miami gig at the Plaza at American Airlines Arena on October 14.

But yesterday, a statement was posted to the news section of adele.tv, announcing that "Adele has been forced to cancel her upcoming 10 city sold-out tour of the U.S. due to a haemorrhage into her vocal chord."

"Adele has just wrapped up touring around the UK and was preparing to kick off her US tour on October 7 in Atlantic City, NJ when her illness reappeared," the statement explains. "Renowned for her powerful live vocal performances, Adele has been advised by doctors that she'll need an extended rest period in order to begin to recuperate properly."

CANCELED Adele U.S. Tour Schedule

October 7 Atlantic City, NJ
October 8 Durham, NC
October 10 Nashville, TN
October 11 Asheville, NC
October 13 Orlando, FL
October 14 Miami, FL
October 16 Atlanta, GA
October 18 Spring, TX
October 19 Austin, TX
October 21 Grand Prairie, TX

A short time after the official cancelation announcement, Adele herself issued a long, personal explanation titled "IMPORTANT BLOG," venting about her ongoing vocal ailments.

"Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice," she writes. "its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself. i follow all the advice im given and stick to regimes, rules and practices to the best of my ability but it seems to simply not be enough."

"the fact is i have never been able to fully recover from any of the problems that ive had," she continues. "ive been offered the chance to not tour at all to save anything like this from happening again, but i simply hate letting you down."

Conclusion: This Brit songbird will not be rushing back to the stage. "if i continue to pick up everything before i have properly conquered these problems and nipped them in the bud," Adele admits. "i will be totally and utterly fucked."
