Ikea, Volvo, and electro-pop music -- that's what we think about when someone says Sweden.

And speaking of the European Union's third largest country by area, Swedish indie outfit Little Dragon is almost here!

Earlier this year, the Gothenburg-based group released its third studio album, Ritual Union. We spoke with lead singer Yukimi Nagano a few months ago about her band, and she described her music as a "free-range, organic, synth-R&B fruit cocktail."

Cute, no?

Brooklyn Vegan picked up on the interview, posting bits and pieces on its culturally relevant music blog, extracting the part about Little Dragon's strict "no guitar" rule.

"None of us plays guitar very well, so that's one reason. I guess we just feel like there are so many guitar bands out there. And we haven't felt inspired to have any guitars on any songs."

Naturally, Ritual Union is 43 minutes of soulful synthpop sans a six-string. But even without guitars, Little Dragon manages to make inspiring records that are as catchy as crabs.

We mean that in a good way. And The Telegraph, Rolling Stone and The Guardian agree. Ritual Union is a great fucking album.
