Top Five Ridiculously Outrageous Rock Star Rider Requests

Crossfade's rider demands a fountain of pink Kool Aid.

​After the money, sex, and drugs, the best part of being a rock star is the ability to ask for absolutely anything -- even shit you don't really want -- and then throw a nuclear-strength temper tantrum when you don't get it.

The ridiculously outrageous rider request is like an emerald-studded pacifier, the lone weapon against the cries and condemnation of a famous millionaire adult-baby.

5. Mötley Crüe and a Bunch of Random Crap
Among automatic weapons and fancy mustard, the Crüe asked for information regarding local Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. We wonder how many of those sobriety seminars they actually made it to on tour?



4. Trent Reznor Loves Corn Starch
We're not sure why Nine Inch Nails's Trent Reznor requires two boxes of corn starch before every performance. But based on the frontman's emphasis ("VERY IMPORTANT"), we bet the reason is real weird.



3. Madonna's Throne
Word on the street (see: the internet) is that Madge requires a freshly installed, never-been-used toilet at every performance, no excuses.

Iggy and the Stooges' expansive, extensively annotated rider is a skull-bustingly funny literary triumph unto itself.



1. Van Fucking Halen and the Legendary Brown M&Ms
Rock and roll lore has it that Van Halen not only requested M&Ms and demand all of the brown ones be removed, but were also known to trash the dressing rooms (er, extra trash the dressing rooms) belonging to those that couldn't keep their colors coordinated.
