Curren$y Announces Jet Life New Year's Eve Party at Grand Central in Miami

Earlier today, NOLA rapper and marijuana connoisseur Curren$y announced (in tandem with his own Jets International and local event-slash-video production company Dope Ent) that he'll be spending New Year's Eve 2012 in the 305, "poppin' bottles and rappin' raps" at downtown hangout Grand Central.

The party's called the Jet Life New Year's Eve. And as the official Facebook hype exclaims, Curren$y the Spitta is "Calling all Jets! Book your flights now! Miami is the place to be for New Years Eve if you rep the Jet Life!"



Expect certain standard NYE stuff like a jet-setting red carpet and a champagne toast at midnight. But there's some fresh surprises too. Like a limited number of meet-and-greet packages that don't cost $100,000. Just pay $50 and score a lil' backstage facetime with the Spitta.

"Jets will get to hang with Curren$y for a minute. Get an autograph," Dope Ent exec Tariq Cherif explains. "It ain't gonna be an interview or nothin'. But who knows what'll happen?"

And ... Unlike all those shitty $500 SoBe parties where famous rappers don't do anything besides "host," this NYE rager's gonna be an end-of-year rap showcase stuffed with non-stop, smoked-out sets from the entire Jet Life crew, including Curren$y himself, Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Fiend, Corner Boy P, Monsta Beatz, and Street Wiz.



"All of 'em on South Beach can have their Diddys, Nicky Minajs, and Lil Waynes," Cherif says. "They're just trying to make money. They're wannabe 'Flashing Lights' types."

"But this is the real shit. It's actually good music. Everybody's actually having fun. We're not just standing around taking pictures."
