Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce Full 2012 US Tour Dates With SoFla Show on January 20

​ UPDATE Red Hot Chili Peppers have postponed their 2012 US Tour and rescheduled the South Florida show.

There was a time, circa 1991, when being a funky white boy meant doing whacked-out jumping jacks to the beat of "Suck My Kiss" while wearing a sock on your cock. But these days, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are grown-ass funky white men.

The band's founding twosome, frontman-slash-resident hunk Anthony Kiedis and bass man Flea, are both 49 years old while longtime drummer (and Will Ferrell look-alike) Chad Smith is already 50.

And as mature party dudes, they tend to rock their footwear on the appropriate appendage. But maybe, maybe, maybe ... We'll get lucky and the Peps will decide to air out those old tube socks (and funky white cocks) on their newly announced 2012 US tour.



Over the summer, the Red Hot Chili Peppers released their tenth studio album, I'm With You. A few weeks later, Kiedis unveiled a creepy-sexy new porn 'stache. And finally, last week, the Peps announced plans to trek across the US, revealing six initial tour dates in Charlotte, Raleigh, Columbia, Duluth, Greensboro, and Memphis.

But then yesterday, as noted by Crossfade's sister blog County Grind, Kiedis and crew announced ten additional shows. The tour will be kicking off at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise on January 20. And tickets for the Peps' South Florida gig will go on sale this Friday.
