Tool 2012 Tour: South Florida Show Sandwiched Between Bojangles and UCF Arena

​High atop the list of shit that South Florida doesn't need is another tool. The Tri-County Area is littered with them. But come early February, four more will make a pitstop in west Broward.

Though Maynard James Keenan and his cronies haven't released an album in over five years, the Los Angeles-based alt-metal mavens are banking on their cult-like fanbase to fill out the BankAtlantic Center.

Tool recently announced an 18-city cross-country trek, peppered with a handful of dates in Canada. Sandwiched between a Charlotte gig at Bojangles Coliseum and an Orlando area set at the UCF Arena, Tool's BAC performance is scheduled for Monday, February 6.



When's the first time y'all caught Tool live? Was it after Fred Durst and his Limp Bizkit covered "Faith" at Ozzfest '98 in West Palm? Man, the '90s were so random.

We didn't see the band again until 2009 at Lollapalooza and we only stuck around for about 12 minutes. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were co-headlining and we're bigger Karen O fans than Maynard James Keenan disciples. Needless to say, we probably won't run into you at the BankAtlantic Show.
