UPDATE Ultra Music Festival has finally announced its Phase 1 lineup. Check out Ultra 2012's 92-act roster, headlined by Avicii, Tiësto, and David Guetta.

Our sources at Ultra Music Festival have leaked some big news, telling us that an appearance by New Wave icons New Order at this year's festival has been confirmed.

The band, of course, is best known for hits like "Blue Monday," "Age of Consent," and "Bizarre Love Triangle," all of which were released in the '80s.

In the '90s, the group hung up its synthesizers, only to reappear around the turn of the century.

Having New Order on the lineup isn't exactly surprising, considering Ultra has a habit of booking legendary bands with special influence on dance music, including Duran Duran, The Cure, and Erasure.

New Order joins other confirmed acts Armin Van Buuren and BK & Mr. E (source at the festival says BK & Mr. E are not scheduled to perform), along with a rumored performance by Justice.

Expect more news soon. Ultra will be revealing its Phase One lineup as early as next week. So stay tuned.

Ultra Music Festival 2012. Friday, March 23, to Sunday, March 25, 2012. Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. General admission tickets cost $299.95 plus fees or $599.95 plus fees for VIP. Visit ultramusicfestival.com.

no shit you retards..  ask Markus Schulz, Paul Van Dyk and others exactly what got them into electronic music...  New Order, they pretty much invented Techno and the rave scene maybe im too old (25) but who the fuck is skrillex anyway?

I looooove New Order! But seriously, $300!!!!!!! WTF!!! Don't people know we are in a recession!  I'm not rockefeller! The only band I would pay $300 to see, is the Beatles, and that's only if John and George raised from the dead!!!

IMO, New Order had major influence on the music you hear and enjoy now. I have seen New Order in concert and they are pretty awesome - don't knock them tell you hear them live.  It would also not surprise me to hear Depeche added to the line up - especially since Martin Gore is releasing a "techno" album.  New Order has switched members but it is the same muxsic, go back and take a listen - people used to "rave" to them.

You either love or hate Skrillex, I am not a huge fan but understand his following - he is edgy and has a new sound.  I know he draws in a big crowd of the younger generation.  I would assume he would also be at Ultra, but I do not expect him to be at a main stage.

I have my tickets either way!
