The life of migrant farmers and Mexican immigrants are topical subjects often overlooked by the American music industry. But those issues weigh heavily on Los Tigres del Norte.

The norteño group is considered one of the most influential acts of all time. On record, Los Tigres share the plight of poor Mexican and Central American immigrants with an international audience. And in real life, they spend an incredible amount of time interacting with fans, the true inspiration behind their metaphor-driven, award-winning music.

Next month, Los Tigres del Norte will visit South Florida. They'll play the South Florida Fairgrounds, the first of three consecutive Florida shows on the February/March leg of their seemingly never-ending tour.

As one NPR blogger said when he unsuccessfully tried to find an immigrant community the group hadn't visited, "wherever the immigrants were, Los Tigres had already been there to play for them."

Comprised of four brothers and a cousin, the Mexican-bred, California-based Tigres have been called the "the most influential regional Mexican group in the United States--the voice of the people," by Billboard. In 2010, Alec Wilkinson profiled the band in an issue of The New Yorker, 42 years after Los Tigres formed in San Jose.

And still, 50-plus albums and millions of miles later, Los Tigres show no sign of slowing down. Although, we think y'all should catch them this go-'round 'cause you never know when they'll be coming back.
