Santigold Announces Concert at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach on January 19

​When Santigold called to tell Crossfade that she'd be in town for Art Basel Miami Beach, we squealed with delight like the Disney-fied version of those piglets penned outside Primary Flight.

But after about 15 minutes, we got sad, thinking, "Well, she hasn't hit the Beach since ... November 2009. And with details surrounding the release of her long-awaited sophomore slab, American Dreaming, still sketchy, who knows if you'll have to wait another 24 months before [getting] another shot to 'Go,' 'Shove It,' and 'Say Aha' with the punky Philly-bred party girl?"

Damn, though, we were soooo wrong. She's already coming back!

Just an hour ago, Santigold, Poplife, and everybody's favorite Swedish vodka announced via Facebook that they'd be throwing a party on January 19 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach to celebrate the launch of Absolut Miami.



Unlike her Basel gig at LIV, Santi's slated for an actual "live performance" at the Bleau's pool. And yeah, we here at Crossfade were straight giddy when she "tackled ... 'Creator,' mesmerized with 'L.E.S. Artistes,'" and premiered new track "Freak Like Me" during her December club show. But we're basically shittin' like sows over the possibility of a full fucking Santigold concert.
