At the climax of his glory, Davy Jones left millions of teenage pillows soaking hot and wet with culture-lust.

The "Daydream Believer," popular member of The Monkees, singer, actor, and icon got back all that karmic heartache in the form of massive coronary failure that left him dead at home this morning in Florida, somewhere in the land of Martin County.

There are millions of middle-aged and old ladies all over the world crying over Davy tonight. So we've assembled a posthumous tribute to his pop legacy on this fateful leap-year day.

Davy Jones originally left home to become a jockey, got an acting gig in the play Peter Pan, segued into the role of the Artful Dodger in Oliver, hit Broadway, got discovered, and traveled to the magical land of Hollywood where he starred in the television band experience The Monkees.

Foreshadowed health problems? According to IMDB, Davy never got to eat steak growing up. So when he was working on Oliver, he celebrated by eating a steak at every meal for an entire month.

Upon watching the first episode of The Monkees many years later, Jones supposedly quipped, "I look just like my 14-year-old daughter. I can't believe it. Wait 'till she sees this episode."

Davy's most recent film work is titled Jackie Goldberg, Private Dick. It is currently in post-production. He has also appeared on Boy Meets World, My Two Dads, and appeared on the soundtrack for Spongebob Squarepants.

Davy Jones was loved by many throughout his life, and will surely be remembered long after his death.
