Diana Ross Appearing at Hard Rock Live February 23, Refuses to Speak with Crossfade

Categories: Heads Up
Diana Ross is coming out to South Florida and she wants the world to know.

The 67-year-old Motown singer is bringing her live show to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Hard Rock Live venue on Thursday, February 23. And if she's anything like her Supremes soul sister Mary Wilson, the Seminole Tribe of Florida better start stocking the sexagenarian's dressing room with four quarts of juice, three fruit platters, and some hot hors d'oeuvres.

Those Supremes can be huge divas sometimes.

"She's not doing any interviews," says one representative from her management team. "But I can send you photos. Text me your email address."

Awesome. We'll conduct an interview with a doctored press photo. After all, how much deeper can the real Diana Ross really be?

Well, we'll never know because Ms. Ross is obviously too busy to speak with us. What would her Facebook fans think?

Hairstylist Ralph Resta is super excited and hopes to meet other Diana Ross diehards at the show. "I got great seats," he ecstatically commented on Facebook. "Section [two], row [seven]."

French pop singer Daughter of Sunshine is totally stoked, promising to be there on February 23 when Ross slaps the Hard Rock with a "Love Hangover" and turns the crowd "Upside Down."

Why should she talk to YOU? Who are you? Stars give interviews to sell tickets and she's already sold out - I believe the whole tour is. What ground breaking questions were you going to ask? I've read interviews here and maybe after 50 years of being asked what her fave song is she may have more interesting ways to spend her afternoon. I'm guess that the snotty headline of this article will encourage others to follow suit. I mean, it's not like she owes you an interview. She's Diana Ross - icon, legend, giga-star: if she granted every interview request, she probably wouldn't have time to tour.

Give us a break and be thankful one of the most influential women in the history of music is in town sharing her time and talent with us. We are lucky to have her!

She doesn't give interviews. It's not personal.

I so agree with Mr. Simon, the post preceding my post. Diana just gave an in depth interview on Oprah. As a rule, she has often been betrayed unfairly by the press. When she and the other ladies that made The Supremes first appeared on the scene, it took a minute for The Primettes to find their way. Much like The Quarrymen had a journey on their way to becoming The Beatles. However, when both groups transformed into The Beatles and The Supremes. They were instantly "A" level press darlings. Both rode a fantasmagorical flight to the top. (They were also plagued with inner turmoil, The Beatles and John Lennon's relationship with Yoko Ono. The Supremes dealt with the complications of Florence Ballard's life

Pt. 2

The Beatles and The Supremes were instantly in demand by the press. Diana was the primary spokesperson for the group when the interview is targeted. Eventually, Diana became the prime interest of the press. By 1968, she was being pursued for "solo" opportunities. Diana would continue as "The Queen of Motown" and one of the principal torchbearer of the label's legacy along with Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder. She has made herself available for a lot of television, radio and written inquiries. Though she is not retired, she is a lot more selective in

the number of her public appearances these days. She has given a half century of her soul, her spirit and her presence....now she deserves some time to smell the roses, thank the heavens and celebrate all that there is.
