Swedish House Mafia Announces Masquerade Motel Miami Location, Tickets on Sale Now UPDATED

​Swedish House Mafia's Masquerade Motel is a go, and tickets for the two one-day event went on sale about an hour ago. Update: The event has sold out its first batch of tickets.

But rather than going down on the sands of South Beach as it did last year (or the nude paradise that is Haulover Beach), SHM's Masquerade Motel will occupy Grand Central Park, a five-acre parcel of land located a mere 1.3-miles away from the site of Ultra Music Festival. And joining Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso for the party is Calvin Harris.



On Tuesday, we reported that Miami-Dade County officials had denied SHM's permit to hold the electro bash at Haulover Beach, a public park. Citing "several logistical requirements that could not be resolved/satisfied to the level required by our County," commissioner Sally Heyman had seemingly crushed the collective dream of beat freaks around the globe.

However, sources close to Swedish House Mafia remained optimistic.

"As far as I know, [Masquerade Motel] is still going on," our source said. "I don't think that [permits and logistics] can be forced. That's just the way it is. It sucks. Everyone [in Miami] is looking for info."

Investigate no further, Miami. Masquerade Motel is officially back! But lay those rumors that this year's event would be a two-day festival to rest already.
