Wilco Announces Southeast U.S. Tour With Concert at Fillmore Miami Beach on May 15
Earlier today via wilcoworld.net, the Chicago alt-country crew announced its intention to lay the "Art of Almost" and "Standing O" on six cities across the Southeast U.S., including stops in states like Arkansas, Alabama, Mississipi, Florida, and Alabama.
Following its Spring trek to Europe, the sextet will launch this American minitour in Fayetteville on May 10 before winding eastbound and down toward Birmingham, Jackson, Tampa, Miami, and Gulf Shores.
Wilco's 2012 Southeast U.S. Tour
May 10 Arkansas Music Pavilion, Fayetteville, AR
May 11 Sloss Furnaces, Birmingham, AL
May 12 Thalia Mara Hall, Jackson, MS
May 14 Morsani Hall, Tampa, FL
May 15 Fillmore Miami Beach, Miami Beach, FL
May 18 to 20 The Hangout Music and Arts Festival, Gulf Shores, AL
That's right ... The Wilco crew won't hit South Florida till second last. But since the May 15 show at the Fillmore Miami Beach is set to be this particular roadtrip's penultimate gig, it's safe to assume that Tweedy and the rest won't be holding nothing back.
So expect plenty of long wet hair and all kinds of sweet, sweaty tuneage off the sextet's Grammy-nominated eighth studio slab, i.e. The Whole Love.
Just make sure you can handle it.
