It's been a tough week for everyone.

Davy Jones died after God selfishly robbed the would-be jockey who "left millions of teenage pillows soaking hot and wet with culture-lust" from us, death-sentencing him with coronary failure and signing him to an eternally binding record contract on his heavenly label.

Like y'all, we're devastated. Since hearing the news of our favorite Monkees' passing, sleeping has become increasingly difficult and depression has started to sink in.

The only thing that'll pick us up and out of the dumps is a fun-filled weekend of music-related things to do under $10. Check out our guide.

Forward Motion Records Showcase. Friday, March 2 at 6 p.m., Tobacco Road (626 South Miami Road, Miami). $5 Cover after 9 p.m. Can't beat cheap-ass drinks and Fernando Perdomo shredding it on a guitar. You must be Dreaming in Stereo.

Black Better "South Florida Indy Rock Party." Friday, March 2 at 10 p.m., Mamushka's (31 NW 36 St, Miami). $5. Your first drink is free, and the rest of them are two-for-one till 1 a.m. What the fuck is there to think about? You're going.

First Fridays at The Vagabond. Friday, March 2 at 10 p.m., The Vagabond (30 NE 14th St, Miami). No cover before 11 p.m. The Vagabond welcomes Jimmy Edgars, a cool kid crowd pleaser.

The Hood Internet. Friday, March 2 at 11 p.m., Mansion (1235 Washington Ave, Miami Beach). Free with RSVP Code #1075. Forgo that line bullshit and tell people you're on the list. That's hood.
