Justin Bieber may be a high school graduate. But don't think that means he'll be reading books anytime soon.

The 18-year-old tween-pop heartthrob recently told the Daily Telegraph that he reluctantly completed his education, earning a high school diploma after passing a test.

"[Finishing high school] was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her," he explained in the interview.

For the Biebz, scholastic ignorance is bliss.

"I mean, this kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I've been able to travel the world," he added. "At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I'm really not into that stuff."

Reading? Yuck. And Writing? Gross.

Perhaps Bieber's apathetic approach to education explains why the know-nothing star called Indonesia "some random country" when a group of reporters asked him about "Be Alright," a track off his forthcoming album that was recorded in the world's fourth most populous country.

"I recorded [the song] in a studio, some little place. They didn't know what they were doing."

Curiously enough, Bieber's raising money in Australia to help children go to school, something he should've treated with higher regard.

"I grew up without a lot of money. There are kids around the world who don't have the chance to go to school. I want to be able to help them, you know?"

So yes, he'll always lend a hand dollar. But don't expect Bieber to read them school children any stories.
