50 Cent Dumps Floyd Mayweather, Hooks Up With Manny Pacquiao
|Fiddy and Floyd: Happier times.|
But then Fiddy turned his back on Money and ventured into enemy territory with the best Filipino fighter in boxing, Manny Pacquiao.
So clearly, 50 Cent and Mayweather aren't that cool.
According to Boxing Scene, Curtis Jackson and the Pac Man are "moving forward" with plans to develop a collaborative boxing promotions company, uniting the MC's TMT Promotions and the world champion's MP Promotions.
The kicker? Mayweather was supposed to be a part of the deal too. But evidently, plans have changed.
"50 Cent and I have been talking now for maybe the last two months," Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz tells Boxing Scene. "They approached us with the idea to form a promotional company. Initially it was going to be 50 Cent, Manny, and Floyd. But right now I don't think Floyd is going to be a part of it."
Rumors that the two friends' relationship had hit a rough patch surfaced several weeks ago. And 50's recent appearance on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show didn't really help.
"Everybody around [Mayweather] is waiting on the next time he feels generous," Fiddy said on the program. "And I have a lot [of money], so I don't wait for nobody. It's just a space and time. I'll go and do what I have to do. I don't gotta sit around and wait for the next time he feels like giving somebody something."
