Nicki Minaj Not Registered to Vote, Mitt Romney Endorsement Nullified

Even if Mitt Romney may have Nicki Minaj's endorsement, the Republican Party's presidential candidate can't count on her vote. She's not registered.

As noted by Hip Hop Wired, the alleged Young Money Mitt supporter has lived in three states -- California, Georgia, and New York -- and she's failed to register in all of them.

That means her line about "voting for Mitt Romney" because "you lazy bitches is fucking up the economy" holds as much weight as a campaign endorsement from Nicki Minaj.

"I doubt Nicki seriously supports Romney," Talib Kweli tweeted after hearing about Minaj's line on Lil Wayne's new mixtape, Dedication 4. "Her lyrics ain't political. She just wants y'all to talk about her & she winning cuz it's working!"

Whatever the case, the Washington Post thinks Minaj's endorsement underscores "President Obama's wobbly relationship with the greater world of hip-hop."

Adding: "In 2008, enthusiastic lyrical endorsements came spilling from Jay-Z, Nas, Common, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco and other rappers cheering Obama's run for the White House in song.

"Four years later, the hip-hop community has its share of Obama supporters, Obama detractors, ambivalent shoulder-shruggers and, with Minaj, an emerging pro-zombie, pro-Romney bloc." And now the "most important election of our lives" is a Nicki Minaj joke. God bless America.
