Fact: Creed's Scott Stapp Tried to Kill Himself, Jumping Out Hotel Window on Miami Beach

With arms wide open, jumping off the balcony.

In 2006, Creed singer Scott Stapp was broken and bloody, hanging six-feet from the edge at the Delano Hotel on Miami Beach. But then T.I. swooped in to save the suicidal alt-rocker.

No, this isn't bullshit. It's fact. And while the rapper kept this life-saving encounter a secret, Stapp has revealed the whole thing in his recently published memoir, Sinner's Creed.

That's what happens when you do a bunch of drugs 'cause God and the Billboard charts have forsaken you.

Now T.I. has finally opened up to MTV: "Me and my partner, Phil, we checked into the hotel. We stepped out on the balcony. We heard groans, moans, just sounds coming from the ceiling above the balcony. So we stepped back and we looked up and we saw that there was a dude up there."

This "dude" was the battered Stapp, who had met the rapper once before briefly in 2004 and connected over a mutual love for Alabama's college football team Crimson Tide.

"It's ironic," Scott writes, "he walked in, and I found out later it was the only room left in the hotel and he came in off the street and came out, and as I'm laying on the ledge, blood fell to [T.I.'s] feet and he looked up and he had an Alabama hat on. I said, 'roll tide,' and then he looked at me and put two and two together and really saved my life."

That's some real shit, and T.I. stayed silent until the singer exposed his darkest moments in print. Because where T.I. grew up, snitches get stitches, and that's some even realer shit.
